At Kandlwaalhof in Laas, in South Tyrol's Val Venosta, the Luggin family makes apple juice, dried apple rings and mustard. The farm has a longstanding focus on South Tyrolean apples and selects varieties suited to the local area. These include Weirouge, an apple with red flesh, as well as Kanzi and other cultivars. Joachim Luggin and his family use the fruit in several forms: it is pressed into juice, dried into apple pieces and combined with mustard. The resulting range links the farm's apple-growing work directly with its processed specialities.
