About Pacherhof

Pacherhof winery

The South Tyrolean Pacherhof estate traces its winegrowing history to 1142. Winemaker Andreas Huber works eight hectares, maintaining a small scale despite demand for Eisack Valley wines and the possibility of expansion. The vineyards around Neustift and Elvas, near Brixen, lie in the Eisack Valley, one of Italy's northernmost winegrowing areas.

Pacherhof wines: fruit, saline minerality and finesse

The cool climate supports white wines with freshness and clear character, while vineyards at 600 to 950 metres contribute minerality and lively acidity. Andreas Huber and his family cultivate only white varieties, principally Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon, Sylvaner, Pinot Grigio, Kerner, Gewürztraminer and Müller-Thurgau. Private Cuvée Andreas Huber combines Grüner Veltliner, Riesling and Sauvignon. It is described as pale and clear, with green reflections, vegetal and concentrated fruit notes, a juicy texture, mineral character and vibrant acidity. The components are matured individually in the traditional cellar before being blended. The wines can be explored at Hotel Pacherhof or ordered through our online wine shop.
